Swipe the face left or right — or up and down — to change the temperature; the − and + buttons do the same thing, one degree at a time. Swipe the service screen to page it.
One status mark carries three radios: the ring is power, the glyph is Wi‑Fi, the dots are the cellular backup. It is not a button — it only reports, and it pulses amber only when something is wrong.
One hidden gesture on the whole face: press and hold the zone name for three seconds — Diagnostics, Connection, About. Read-only, and it returns to the room on its own.

Why it is this simple
There is no mode button, no fan menu, no programming screen, no settings tree and no keypad. The range stop is final on the glass — a wider range is a decision someone makes in the app, where it is logged. A new hire only ever presses , + or Today's plan.

No occupancy sensor on the round enclosure — the lens needs a corner, and this face has none.
